White-tailed Deer Fawn

Photographed in the Flathead National Forest of northwest Montana. This images highlights the deep blue eyes of a newborn fawn. The photographer observed the mother and fawn from a distance. The doe signaled the fawn to lie down while she moved off a ways. Though he knew where the fawn dropped, Terry had a hard time locating it to get this photo for it blended into its surroundings so well.
