Hamerkop
This strange
looking bird's name is Afrikaans, meaning "hammer head."
They build a massive nest of sticks and even bones.
Their abandoned nests are used by many creatures. They
(and their nests) were some of the most unusual
sightings we had in Africa.
This print, discretely
hand signed by the photographer, includes a Certificate of Authenticity. (The
protection signature overlaid here is removed in the printing process.)
