European Bee-eater

Planning the timing of our arrival to best fit the wildlife we most wanted to see in South Africa was not simple We needed to come far enough into spring when the snakes were active and northern nesting birds had arrived. This first year juvenile European Bee-eater is experiencing his first migration to Africa.
